Chief of Programs Development

DIONNE DEAN is Chief of Programs Development for the Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc.  Mrs. Dean is currently a graduate student at Loyola University Chicago, where she is working on her Master of Arts in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies.  Her thesis topic is entitled, “Joshua and the Education of a Nation: Educational policy in Jamaica during the Manley-era, 1972-1980.”

Mrs. Dean received her Bachelor’s in Science in Textiles and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University.  After employment as an Assistant Buyer for Rich’s/Lazarus/Goldsmith’s in Atlanta, Georgia, she moved home to South Florida to complete coursework in Sociology.

In 2006, Dionne moved to Chicago, Illinois to complete a “Year of Service” as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the University of Chicago Collegiate Scholars Program. 

Upon completion of her “Year of Service” with AmeriCorps, Mrs. Dean accepted her current position as a College and Career Counselor for ACE Technical Charter High School, where she aids students make the transition from high school into post-secondary education.

In her role as Chief of Programs Development, Mrs. Dean brings a wealth of knowledge in developing workable solutions for businesses and effective program execution for the organization.
